Library Musical. "Sometimes, you are moved by such a strong emotion that you can only express it through song. As we learn from musical theatre that emotion can swell up anytime: in a corner deli, on a playground, in an open field--and even at the library."

That was funny and cute. And, dammit, ballsy.

Grrrr, I can't get it to come up here at work. Does it have anything to do with a woman named Marian? posted by soyjoy at 2:33 PM on January 10, 2005
saw this a few ago, was posted to some blog somewhere in this vastness known as internet (kudos to that person).
This is an oldie but a goodie. Thought it was a dobule post, but I guess it's ne'er graced these hallowed blue halls. posted by zpousman at 2:40 PM on January 10, 2005
Some of the people at the tables were trying to hide their laughing--very funny. Can't wait to get home to have sound. posted by ParisParamus at 2:58 PM on January 10, 2005
If someone got on my subway train and started lecturing... I'd either pee my pants laughing or have to make out with them right there. Maybe both. Hopefully not in that order. posted by ThePinkSuperhero at 3:12 PM on January 10, 2005 [1 favorite]
TPSh, what train do you take and when? posted by pmbuko at 3:34 PM on January 10, 2005
What, how is this different from what happens in the library every day? Most places, you can't throw a Chilton's without hitting a couple breaking out in song. posted by robocop is bleeding at 3:40 PM on January 10, 2005

That would make a good flashmob, to do a bigger number in some public place (like the train station opera). posted by abcde at 7:23 PM on January 10, 2005
I wish I had video of Singing Christian Asian Man. He's a guy here in DC that appears on the METRO: gets on the car, says "thank you very much" and then sings one song, usually a Christian hymn, and exits at the next stop. His sincerity is both humorous and poignant. posted by turtlegirl at 11:03 AM on January 11, 2005
