J-Track 3D is an interesting JAVA web-app offered by NASA which gives a 3D interactive display of over 500 satellites currently orbiting the Earth.

I think this sort of technology should be applied to tracking police cars (and thereby avoiding them while driving)...

For those who are interesting, there's a great program for the Mac called Freefall that does all this in real time with tons and tons of fun features. I use it as a screen saver.

Also, here's a site that tracks satellites and tells you (based on user-input city name or GPS coordinates) when and where to look to the skys for dazzlingly bright Iridium satellite flares.
A cool resource if your into this sort of thing...
