This is truly a trippy animation; Kaleidoscope. Place the cursor in the middle of the square, sit comfortably and relax, and let yourself go for 20-30 minutes

yeah that's kinda cool... i like the one on the homepage a bit more though. It also responds to mouse (click+drag) movement.

That was Acidwarp, which has subsequently been ported to Linux.

Not only did it not work for me (Firefox), it hung up my browser.

I checked it (and really dug it, thanks) in Mozilla, but I too had problems in FF. Seems I don't have the plugin installed, but when trying to install it, everything just stalled. wtf?

this is kinda neat. I liked it.

I have FF as well and it worked perfectly in my browser. Are you guys using the lastest version?

This reminds me of a previous metafilter post that I can't seem to find..... Anyone remember the flash game called Fly (I think) where you flew 3 paper airplanes at the same time, with ribbons of color coming out of the back of each one?

I had the same FF problem but wow, man, I used the "open in IE" widget, and now I really want some mushrooms.

You can make her do painful things if you have a dual-screen setup.

Works in Firefox for me

This is what hyper-speed space/time travel looks like according to every sci-fi show I've ever seen.

This animation works fine with Firefox, unless you do not have Shockwave installed. You just need to get the Shockwave animation from the offical site, instead of using the Firefox extension manager - for some reason, the extension manager doesn't install Shockwave properly for me, but installing it manually works beautifully!

Fine in Firefox, with the extension manner to boot.

I played the theme from Doctor Who (various versions of course) and had myself a great time.

At first, I thought that was a snotty thing to say, but actually, it's a testament to how interesting the full demos page is - the main link is very cool, but most of the other links are actually even better. Great find!
