Wow. Some of those images are incredibly powerful statements when you consider what they're selling and the conditions they're designed to treat. Excellent find.

These are cool, thanks! The last two or three do seem to be a little more cheerful. I think the symptoms, aetiology, and treatment for psychiatric disorders can be quite different in Japan.

Could be in the choice of images, but it is interesting that the imagery suddenly shifts at 2000 from the horrors of mental illness to the utopian happyland of properly medicated people.

i'm totally tripping on that Atarax unhappy face being peeled back from the happy face...and those Deliton screwheads are freaky!

wouldn't you love to see stuff like this in tv drug ads today? our 'gotta-go-gotta-go' detrol women (i'm really hoping one day to see a big butch construction worker running around because he has to pee!) and dancing viagra users are creepy, but seem rather tame now.
