So in summary: an investigator for the Florida Office of the Inspector General supposedly kills himself while working on what he told his wife was a "big" case, a case that apparently involves voter-rigging and Jeb Bush's running mate in Bush's first campaign for governor of Florida.

The investigation into the "suicide" does not include some photographs of the decedent, because of "technical problems", but a blogger is able to recover those photographs, photographs which are inconsistent with the written "suicide" investigation report.

Welcome to Ukraine, Americans.

I don't know what resolution you're browsing the web at puke & cry, but at 1050px height maximized, the first photo isn't even visible; on the other hand the bold, underlined, and italic "WARNING: THIS PAGE CONTAINS EXTREMELY GRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHS!" is.

Wow. This is huge. Those photographs hit hard.

This does kinda fail to pass the "surprise" test, while not really making much of a case as to why the official story is a hoax.

Let's have a presentation of the story that looks a little less like it popped out of "Fantasmagoria" magazine.

I'm no expert, but couldn't the purple areas be pooled blood, and not necessarily bruising?

You know, the wording of the post is unusable. What's the point in playing "mystery post" if this is at all important?

Oh those crazy Floridans.

Anyway, yes. What orthogonality said. You're all fucked now. (Although I thought the same thing, [expletive deleted]. Who knows.)

It is odd that there is no coverage of this anywhere... Google News returns only one relevant result for Lemme, which gets its source from BradBlog listed above.

There is a great, very comprehensive article here, which is reproduced verbatim all around the web. The amount of extremely scary situations revolving around all these characters, and the suicide in georgia where there is no mandatory autopsy, and now with discrepencies in the police report, what is going on? what is happening, and what can we do about it?

And other than discussion in our little blog world about why is this not being talked about, these are the only two sources we have.

I think every two-term president has had some sort of scandal come out, so if this one doesn't, I'll be afraid.

And yes Pmm, great links, though the description will only make sense to people who are already somewhat familiar with the case.

from the onlinejournal article

Sergeant Eugene Bell of the Valdosta Police Department interviewed a 39-year old female guest who was staying in Room 236 over the weekend. She and her daughter noticed three men standing in the parking lot across from Lemme's room at 8 a.m. on the morning of July 1. The behavior of the men made the guest suspicious enough that the woman initially believed the men were engaged in a drug deal. According to the police report, the camera used to photograph the crime scene was later discovered to have a defect in the flash memory card.

The central theme is technology!

A very interesting case. If this expands and catches that unpin-downable "buzz momentum" - potential for a Watergate magnitude scandal.

Still lots of dead ends, if there was more evidence - this could be the turning point when the bloggers pull ahead of the mainstream media.

I wonder what an autopsy would reveal. Or should I say, would have revealed. I'm certainly no expert, but I've heard that slitting your wrists is a highly chancy and inefficient method of suicide. I wonder what drugs he might've had in his system.

I don't know, but some of these anti-Feeney conspiracy theory Dems in the BradBlog megaverse are really nuts...For an article, I tried to get one of them to confirm a story once about Feeney and his claims just seemed to go up in a cloud of smoke.

Not saying there isn't something going on down there in Jeb Bush's incredibly corrupt Florida, and there is a chance someone is putting out a huge smoke screen of wacko disinformation.

It still seems more likely that a small hick town cop didn't do a bang-up job investigating an apparently-obvious suicide and wasn't tech-savvy enough to actually work the digital camera correctly than that there's the vast murderous conspiracy of Republicans, Chinese industrialists, Nigerian spammers, Enron, and God only knows who else implied by the article.

That may be true, but the employer's snoop software hardly cares: that the photo was transferred to the employee's computer is all that counts.

ROU: True. By the same token, Viktor Yushchenko probably just ate some bad clams.

Well, there is the small matter that Yuschenko actually had gigantically obvious symptoms that matched neatly to chloracne, which isn't exactly thick on the ground, and didn't match up with any "normal" diseases.

And the smaller matter of doctors having found dioxin in his body.

Is there some reason I'm missing that an autopsy can't be done now? It's not like you can't do an autopsy on someone who has been dead a while. It's certainly not optimal, but you can do it.

You'd need the body first. Presumably Mrs. Dead Guy doesn't want him autopsied, or she'd have had it done or consented to it already. Without her consent, you'd have GA law enforcement trying to compel someone in FL to be disinterred and autopsied, which probably isn't the easiest thing in the world to compel.

If he crossed State lines to committ suicide you could Easily argue its in the purvie of a federal investigation, especially if its suspicious circumstances as this seems to be

Doesnt Blood Pool to lower body and not to sides after death?

Lividity after death (the "bruising") occurs where the body rested against another object. So if his neck was resting on the back of the tub then you would expect lividy there.
