I want to find some unused computer in my office, hook it up to some speakers hidden in a wall or a drop roof somewhere, and leave this looped. The spans of empty space punctuated by apparently random "muthafuckas" and "ass" would provide quite the surreal experience. posted by bugbread at 5:22 PM on April 15, 2005
Whoa, the Fuck The Police is awesome!!
I'm DJing an ambient set next month, but there's gotta be some way I could drop that in. posted by bugbread at 5:25 PM on April 15, 2005
Fuck The Police Lyrics (courtesy of lyricsdownload.com, edited by bugbread):
This may be the only chance I ever get to post the phrase "motherfucking niggers fuck ass" on Metafilter. I'll be damned if I'm not going to take it. posted by Simon! at 6:14 PM on April 15, 2005
Hilarious, but I think it would've been fair to leave in phrases that are filthy but technically not "swears", like "dirty ass ho", which occurs a couple times in "Straight Outta Compton." And I mean, some consider the direct object to be the very problem with "Fuck the police."
So who will be the first to mix these tracks with the censored versions in SoundForge and complete the circle of life. posted by furtive at 7:44 PM on April 15, 2005
Even better, how about Stunt Swearing? Use NWA's original, masterful use of the F-bomb and friends to restore the Anglo-Saxon flava on other rapper's radio edits. Needs to be done, I say, like a pimp ass muthafucka. posted by arto at 8:29 PM on April 15, 2005
Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say
But nothin comes out when they move they lips
Just a buncha gibberish

The flip side of this would be when Joel Stein was given the chance to program Trio TV for a week and came up with the idea of Good Clean Porn, in which all the sex scenes were edited out, to "allow the viewer to focus on those moments which best illustrate the skills of the writers, directors and most importantly, the performers." posted by Turtles all the way down at 3:20 AM on April 16, 2005
