A cool idea, and a fun allegory: Bird and butterfly collages made with old bank notes (two pages, horizontal scrolling). Click the images to view larger versions and see the notes that were used (scroll down). More here without the note source info.

From Swiss artist Denis Cornaglia. On the first (horizontal-scrolling) sets, for pictures with multiple figures, click on individual images to see the larger views.

Too bad these are not very high-quality .jpgs, but I love the idea!

[this is good]
I especially liked the cameleon, for some odd reason.

Ah, taz, I missed this earlier today! Leave it to you to find this unique cool thing with such beautiful patterns and textures. Love the cameleon, dhruva, and this guy is pretty neat too. Where is iconomy, she would love this stuff.

WOW! I almost like the thumbs best, where the detail of the bank notes is hinted at, there but barely visible, adding color and texture. Nice! Amazing.
