A little early for Halloween, Ray O'Bannon creates charming and spooky paper toys--some with moving parts--that you can print out and build at home.

There is a string involved somewhere, and I'm not sure about the handle on the bat, but yes, the author says print them out on card stock.

I hope I have the patience to put some of these together in October.

These are lovely. But cardstock and x-acto knives? I foresee stitches in my future.

HuronBob, I made the dragon, but it didn't work as well as the one in the video. I think it has something to do with the shadows in my office.

I find the dragon works best if you bend its head back a little bit.

This worked great for me. Suggestion to those who try this: after building it, let it be for a while - I had to let my mind forget about it a little so I could see the effect. ALso, closing one eye helped a lot too.
