Moby Blaster is an arkanoid clone that lets you create your own levels. (requires Shockwave)

I am the winner!

At least until someone else finishes the board ...

I have to admit to being a complete sucker for breakout games, and the ability to make your own levels seems pretty cool. I'm a bit weirded out that it's connected to VeggieTales, though ...

That is tremendously fun. Like jacobm, I am a total sucker for breakout games, and this one is particularly good (surprising, for a kiddie-tie-in game). The multi-ball action in that game is just awseomely awesome!

And here I thought I was the only one who referred to these as "Arkanoid clones." I spent way too much of my childhood playing Arkanoid and Arkanoid 2: Revenge of Doh.

I'm still not sure why I bought both games, Arkanoid 2 did little to progress the plot established by the first title.

furtive, do you work for veggie tales?

I'm amazed that there's anyone in this world who isn't burned out on Breakout-style games yet. Breakout was one of the very first arcade games -- the game was a few years old even when the Atari 2600 was released. I don't know of anything usefully added to the genre since Arkanoid and Off The Wall.

Which isn't to detract from you guys enjoying the game, mind. Just expressing surprise, is all.

Please disregard my last comment.
Heh.

I had yet to finish downloading shockwave onto this machine.

Yah fools! Whose the best, now??!?!? Huh?? HUH?

I got sick of breakout a long time ago, and thought it really couldn't measure up to the class and sophistication of Kaboom!
Plus you're helping to eliminate weapons of minor destruction with Kaboom!

Still, I enjoyed the build-your own feature.
I should try it with a brick that doesn't explode, I guess, but it wouldn't be as much fun for me.

I love games that allow the player to design/ehance the game's environment -- viz., Pinball Construction Set.

This is a really fun game. Who wants to make a dithered version of #1's head?

aw yeah, 742 now B_B...

of course, that score has more to do with which random items i collected than any kind of skill...

742 is tough to beat -- I got a 665 only with a perfect storm of 22-point blocks and super-multiball.

Here's a tough one.

Me and my friends are sick breakout freaks. While I can't seem to get this to work on my PC, (neither Firefox or IE seem to want to open it; Photoshop wants to open....yadda yadda yadda) the two breakout clones that have been eating up all my time lately are these two.
