I was hooked when they mentioned they expect climbers to...well, climb it. It is now one of my life goals to make it to Italy and take a nap on this thing's belly.

I think I like the artists who filled all the shoes with butter on the top of the mountain better than the pink bunny artists. I don't know what the pink bunny symbolizes but butter in shoes I can totally understand.

The WTC window stunt page refers to the 148th floor, which the WTC didn't have one of. Are these "pieces" that Gelitin does real, or virtual (i.e., pranks)?

Is this one meant to evoke the model for the Paris Metro "don't stand in the doorway" signs?
I always figured that Paris was where the Easter Bunny lived the rest of the year. I never quite figured out why Mexican babies come from Paris.
(Yes, the stork brings them. From Paris. You have to order away for them. From Paris. Americans don't know where babies come from, but Mexicans do.)

Really? I thought it was because most people have no imagination. I mean, really, what the hell is so stupid about this as opposed to bulldozing a few more thousand trees and putting up another fucking Starbucks or Target? I'll take some stupid artist having some fun over Wal Mart anyday. Really, what would you rather do, stumble on a giant pink bunny that might actually be funny or drive past 10 new QuickLube stores?

Last week my girlfriend and I flew to Skye and climbed a mountain at midnight in the name of art (NVA's 'The Storr: Unfolding Landscape' project: www.nva.org.uk). Frankly, the giant pink bunny sounds like it would have been a better bet.

I think you know exactly what I'm trying to say, but just in case, I'll say it again, without reference to any particular franchise you may or may not like: Any attempt at showing some imagination or injecting a bit of fun into the world, whether it meets your tastes or not, is a far better use of time and energy than building another strip mall and far less 'stupid'.

Nope, it's very stupid. It's akin to a giant kettle of fish, or 2000 very small purple alligators. In other words, it's didactic for the sake of Dadaism. Anyone can pull an object out of their ass, make it really big and call it art, but it doesn't mean I have to accept their definition. I like the word "eye-sore" better, anyway.

Your point was floppy and soft, just like the giant rabbit. Why do you live in a world where an object's artistic merit is gauged by whether or not it's nicer to look at than a Wal-Mart.

My question, already touched on, is this: Do they have any plans to keep this thing from becoming amazingly gross? I think the enormous pink bunny is kind of fun, but after being outside for a few months... I can't imagine it's going to be pleasant.
