There's lots more material at the parent site, although the navigation can be a little confusing.

Who cares about the navigation? This is the sort of place you want to get lost in.

Many thanks.

That harlot is showing her ankles! Burn her!

I'm shocked you would even dare mention what portion of her personage she has exposed!

Hey, Victorian prudery has been wildly exaggerated in popular accounts. Except for a tiny sliver of middle and upper middle class society, the people of Victorian England lived frank, earthy lives. If certain aspects of sexuality and digestion did not get written about or talked about in drawing room conversation, it was not because the Victorians were shocked by them, but because they were too close to them. These were people who gave birth and died in their own homes, who pooped into bowls kept under the bed, and reproduced on a scale that indicates a strong practical distaste for chastity. The past three decades of historical research have revealed a vast Victorian sexual demimonde that was hardly a secret to anyone at the time. For some reason, we keep the myth of Victorian prudery alive. And that story about piano legs being covered up for modesty's sake -- I'd like to see some documentation on that. We have no business feel smugly superior to a culture that brought forth Ruskin, Dickens, Nightengale, etc.

How dare you suggest that Queen Vicky's 9 children were anything but virgin births!

Omiewise, not a devil suit, it's his simian body.

I love the one of Gaynor Rowlands where she looks as if she's surrounded by angel hair pasta. Obviously she has been Touched by His Noodly Appendage.
