A 16 inch statue for $18k? Or perhaps splurge and get the 6-foot model for $90k!

The moment I see this in someone's living room I'll know that I am in the house of a rube who clearly has more money than brains.

It would be worth $90k if you could climb on it and play around but I doubt its that cool.

I liked the website for children of parents who think the more money you spend on your child means you love them more so they sold $45,000 treehouses and other crap.

I don't think I'm trendy enough even to LOOK at that website.

I just can't imagine the kind of person who would spend nearly a hundred grand on art purchased from a catalog.

You didn't mention that it hovered in mid-air.

The iron man ironing board and aquarium sink are interesting ideas. That was a fun browse.

After looking for a new apartment for 6 weeks and finding nada suitable, I'm stuck where I've always been stuck: in my cool, bigass apartment. I've decided I'm gonna redecorate so the dog and some of my not-so-swift friends thinks I moved. In short: thanks for the links!

Anyone got any more like this or to loft/redecorate/neat shit to do in your apartment sites?

smcniven, whoa, that krazy glue guy (with the yellow hardhat) looks like he's using your step 2 device...

I'd seen the aquarium sink recently and thought it was pretty cool until hashing out its potential defects (there are many) with a friend.

Silly items on that site, but this paper wall is...interesting and the self-watering flowerpot sounds promising.

I just spent $200 on just one site linked from there....dang.

Off to shop more.

Complete with referrer links, too... It's essentially one big ad.

They should call it the "I get paid when you buy this overpriced pile o' crap" blog.

Plenty of things there could have been in a SkyMall catalog.

This is great for insperation though I can't imagine ever having the funds to pay for most of the linked stuff retail. I mean who the heck would pay five Gs for bathroom tap?

Easy. This guy. If you're willing to spend $6,000 on a shower curtain, $5,000 for a tap is nothing.

BLATANT ENDORSEMENT:

guys, if you're looking for a nice yet comfy pair of dress shoes, i can't say enough about the Cole Haan Nike Airs -- there's a pair on that page.

specifically, these are the best, most versatile shoes i've ever owned. also very sturdy -- had them for about a year and they get better with age -- i'm rough on my shoes.

this may sound odd, but sometimes a product is good enough that you feel it's worth mentioning. i should go put up an ask.mefi thread on this......

Since it's now a spam free-for-all, I'll recommend Moo Shoes for wannabe vegans.

i should have clarified that i've had a hell of a time finding comfortable shoes that i could wear as sneakers / slightly dressy shoes. i have fallen arches and i walk so much that i tend to wear through cheaper shoes pretty quickly. this particular pair has stood out so much that i thought it worth mentioning when the page reminded me of it.

my old doc martens also managed to stand the test of time, but were nowhere near as comfortable, and kind of boring-looking....

mrgrimm: de gustibus non est disputandum

i meant that my shoes (as in the pair i own) are actually the color in the second link, not the first. regardless, i don't see the need to be a elitist/smartass, particularly not in light of that 'vegan shoes' link. 'no accounting for taste,' indeed.

Thanks for the tip, spiderwire, I'll pick up some of those Cole Hawns, they look awesome.
