This is not useful because you have to go slowly, month by month, to find any info for a small-scale area. The designers should have thought to put in an "all months" and "all years" setting (limit the results if necessary).

My own tests of the Google Maps API showed that 500 locations pinpointed on the map was no real problem for it to handle, though the icons had to be very small to make it at all readable. The large UFO icons on this map would make the map pretty useless.

A friend studying psychology once mentioned a study that discovered stimulation of one part of the brain caused participants to believe they had experienced a holy vision. However, in a small percentage of participants, the imnpression was instead of an otherworldly alien encounter.

I wonder if an even smaller percentage believed they had seen Elvis?

Y'all are so cynical. This is the most useful google maps interface I've seen yet. I'd much rather get an idea of when the smiling alien overlords are likely to make it to my neighborhood than just sit around peering at the roof of my house.
