I/O Brush

I/O Brush is a new drawing tool to explore colors, textures, and movements found in everyday materials by "picking up" and drawing with them. Video here.

Alternatively kids could physically pick up things with manipulation tools called "hands", look at them with receptors called "eyes" and then draw something, again using the "hands" which will do a variety of user defined tasks.

MIT certainly is the place for interesting new technology of limited use.

DeluxePaint on the Amiga did this 18 years ago - they even called them brushes.
