The little guy made it! Yay!
I love how he takes a long look down the deep scary dropoff before continuing.

Reminds me of the stills of a snail going over a razor blade... he made it too... But not too lucky or the snail who ran the 'salt maze'... That was awful! bleh!

Why do invertibrates always look like they're strange manifestations of some twisted fiction?

Why do invertebrates always look like they're strange manifestations of some twisted fiction?

Because they were put here to test our faith.

According to the movie Büvös vadász, the devil gets the first soul to cross a bridge, leading to an achingly long scene where villagers and devil alike wait for a snail to cross.

I have a couple of these as pets. I got them in spring when they were gumdrop-sized to keep the tadpole tank clean. The tadpoles grew up and I was left with these two gastropods, now both nearly fist-sized. They regularly escape now, creep about leaving trails, and I think they're responsible for the mysterious disappearance of a couple of goldfish I got to keep them company. I sleep with one eye open.

But what was I to do? "I'm downsizing, and no longer require the services of a snail," just doesn't seem right.
