Tin foil hats aside...

I wonder if there is any actual Indictment.

Talk about a pump fake. Well, here's hoping for some real indictments real soon...

This is why I always shoot over to cnn or google news before going any further...as I guessed - no breaking news type headlines....

So this is admitted bullshitonapogostick preemptive conspiracy filter huh? Or is it hopefilter? Either way, LivewireConfusion, that's pretty lame-o.

In the interest of solidifying my place in the pantheon of omniscient conspiracy reporters I am going to pre-break a story. A story so huge, so outrageous, and so politically expedient that it will surely sate the most ravenous among the disenfranchised left.

Or maybe I'll go pumpkin picking today. I love the short fat ones.

Was that supposed to be funny? Lifetime ban.
posted by planetkyoto at 6:44 AM on October 23, 2005

Well obviously it was a mistake.

At least I have given you the opportunity to spend the next 10 hours flaming me... thus giving your life purpose again, if only for a little while.

cockfilter.

I overheard two people talking on the back of the bus that Bush wasn't going to get indicted, but Cheney was. Discuss.

that monkeyfilter link is funny as hell.
1 million Italian lira = $750 when I was there last. I really enjoyed being a millionaire.

I'm still crestfallen after seeing this FPP.
should've laid off the second coffee...

Actually, planetkyoto, banning me sounds like a great idea.

I started reading this site back in 2000. I have seen it go way down hill since then. Last year I decided to support it and buy an account.

You know what, I am going to ban myself. This way all you self important pricks can big each other up.
posted by Livewire Confusion at 6:48 AM on October 23, 2005

Wow, Livewire. You get taken by an unofficial tinfoil hat site, don't check with other sources to see if its true, post this on both Metafilter AND Monkeyfilter and then start calling people names? That's rich. Do you always blame others when you fuck up? That's a rhetorical question by the way.

languagehat writes "Jesus Christ."
Well, at least there's one indictment.

And Livewire Confusion, don't be going overboard mate. It's lame but not in the ballpark of banning for life. Although....I can't be stuffed checking MoFi times against MeFi. I'm presuming you didn't post it here after you understood it was fake/rot/crap/thin/unsubtantiated hmm?

R. Mutt, a fake pumpkin patch is better than a fallacious news story.
posted by recurve at 7:09 AM on October 23, 2005

I gotta say though the discussion on monkey filter was more interesting than this bitch fest. I guess that post did waste a couple of inches of browser window and it did get a click from me, but it was good training for instant bullshit detection. Livewire was just excited and i can't blame a guy for trying. And obviously everyone had a little tension to release, geez

livewire, take it easy. one heavy handed suggestion of a response shouldn't spin you into a tizzy.

news this big, though, you know, could've deserved two links, maybe? and the friday morning date should raise suspicion that nobody else gave the story legs.

innocent mistake?
not worse than the fake bombings in D.C. that got posted recently. At least yours is, hopefully, just premature.
