2000 dead

2,000 Americans dead in Iraq. Was it worth it all it? Was Tricia worth it? Was Ray worth it? Does anyone give a toss about Henry or his dad? It's sickening reading but you've only got yourself to blame. Still, it'll be a picnic in the park compared to Iran if monkey boy and Cheney have their way. You can stop it. But of course you won't. You know you won't. Isn't there something better on the other channel?

And now that you mention it, thanks for rubbing it in -- a new Arrested Development won't be on for another two weeks, so no, there isn't something better on the other channel.

Maybe these 2000 people were made from butter?

movilla: I'm getting just a touch of an editorial tone in your post. That's generally frowned upon here.

Im guessing GYOB is get your own blog, which is a good idea for movilla. As for movilla you pretentious loser, don't tell me what I will and will not do, you act as if metafilter started this war. No we are not happy with it, and no you have not done your part by blaming people and posting stories of fallen soldiers. Get a grip.

Mr Roboto. Thinking is allowed outside of America....

Mr. Roboto's comment was one of the more helpful, and probably one of the kinder comments you will get in this thread.

"Thinking is allowed outside of America".

Checking for doubles before posting, not so much.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe that "monkey boy" is a politically charged epithet which needlessly muddies your subtle editorial point about war being an unacceptable form of negotiations until the day when proud droid armies can take the place of the current meat-popsicle infanteer, thus rendering war bloodless, entertaining and profitable.

In order to avoid potential misunderstandings please be sure from now to use more suitably unbiased terms like King George II or Caesar Christ.

For half the people here, it's already too late. Meaning that even I, an avowed pinko commie, have a hard time with the tone of your post. Do rethink your approach. Ta.

Christ, man. You're British, aren't you? You do realize that there are UK soldiers in Iraq and that your (recently re-elected) government enthusiastically supported this war, don't you?

Why is it always a pinko commie faggot? I don't get that. Why can't it be a slightly-blue commie faggot? Or an ashen Marxist idealist bi-sexual?

Movilla, put your indignation away. This a terrible post and not just because its posted four posts down. Its a terrible post because it reads like a blog entry and MetaFilter isn't your blog.

But I will happily vote to impeach Bush, Cheney and the rest of the gang. Thanks. Actually, I'd rather see Cheney, Rove and Libby executed for high treason but I've got a better chance of seeing a decorated war veteran dragged through the slime by chickhawks. Oops, too late.

movilla, I bet all the chicks in 3rd period art class will be impresssed with how hardcore you are. Meanwhile, you've managed to piss off a website full of people who are for the most part on the same side as you. Way to go, asshole.

Why is it always a pinko commie faggot?

Back in the day it was "commie-fag-junkie." I always had an image of someone lisping "Workers of the world unite!" before nodding out in a puddle of drool.

Gotta love it when people not only double-post an article that is still warm on the Front Page, but with do it with jack-booted, heavy-handed, sanctimoniousness to boot.
