I love the classroom scene. I was hoping to take that course as an elective, but my grades weren't good enough.

Wow, they still use vaccum tube radios in Grenada in the 1980's. (page 2, first panel)

It Happened To Alice. What happened? She married Reggie.

Great post, by the way!

This is my favourite.

"I went to my first A.A. meeting while I was in a mental institution."

"I wasn't even an alcoholic. I'm mental you see."

/smokes pipe some more.

That atomic revolution comic is incredibly good. An interesting look at a time when atomic power was going to save the world.
Even now the United States is building portable atomic power stations that can be shipped by air to any part of the world. These capsules of civilization can be used to provide heat, power, and radioactivity.

Let me change that around a little bit -

Even now the United States is building portable atomic power stations weapons that can be shipped by air to any part of the world. These capsules of "civilization" can be used to provide heat, power, and radioactivity.

There we go.

Well, it'll save us from going back to burning coal for all our energy needs (which is what would happen without nukes after the price of oil gets to high)

They speak English in Granada, right? It was a British colony...

“They speak English in Granada, right? It was a British colony...”

Yeah. It even says that in the notes on the inside front cover.

The Teddy comic was linked here back in 2001, but if you have not had a chance to read it I highly recommend it.

Buddy of mine is a Grenada veteran and has some interesting unheroic stories about it. That is all.

Gah!

Ernest Rutherford was a New Zealander, dammit! He's on our money and everything.

Dumb CIA.
Well, I suppose this one probably wasn't them, unless it was extremely oblique psyops.
