Ben Frost is a painter, performance artist and illustrator who currently lives in Australia. His work explores themes of alienation, dispossession, and perversity that exists behind the facade of contemporary western society. By subverting mainstream iconography from the advertising, entertainment and political spectrum he creates a visual and conceptual framework that is bold, confronting and often contraversial.

Good, but arguably NSFW.

I like the one with bambi pooping out little bambies.

Other then that, trite, obvious, cliched, etc.

Meh. It's all a bit heavy handed, isn't it?

I just noticed delmoi said what I was thinking, only without the sugar coating.

But *heavyhanded* is the whole point, of course. I really like seeing all the work together like this, which really intensifies the manic, schizoid, SELL!SELL!SELL! AAAaaarrrrrrggggh!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 feeling of it.

Very cool. I'm not sure he drew any of the images, just altered them, eh? I recognize that John Buscema picture of the comic book version of Conan and quite a few other "iconic" images.

It all has quite an impact ... on me, at least ... it hits a big nerve.

Has Juxtapoz featured this guy yet? I can't believe they'd've missed him.

Great stuff!
Definitely a big red bullseye for those wanting to push this little law down our thoats.
As previously discussed.

Has Juxtapoz featured this guy yet?

*laughs*

I didn't see this until after the Specious Beasts post later in the day, but made a "Juxtapoz" comment there, too. That mag sure does define a certain pop sensibility, doesn't it?
