Bonus marks for the "ohmigodcute" and "punkdog" tags - both they and the post itself made me smile a lot.

Silly nitpick: They shoulda put the little sweetie on a blue, globe-y looking cushion.

Why do you hate metafilter, spock?

illovich Pro User says:

Well... it's a lot less cute if it's dyed. Seriously, what animal is it really? Is it a fox or a panda? Or a dog?

It looks like it could be a Chow puppy with a stripe attached somehow.

That guy illovich Pro User is spot on. I also think it's a Chow pup with a stripe attached somehow.

How does one flag a post or comment ? I know the [!] link takes me to a page where a pre-configured flag can be chosen. But how does one give a different flag. Chosing 'other' option doesnt allow to input any other flag. This is confusing!!!

That's not a bug, that's a feature.
posted by caddis at 12:41 PM on March 24, 2006

Version 1.0 and Version 2.0, so you can tell them apart.
posted by blue_beetle at 12:45 PM on March 24, 2006

So true. The point is you're then supposed to go praise their photos. Just like high school.

Too bad most people apparently missed it.

Is this some sort of deleting comments thing?

Look, if you want to goof off and have fun, go to DailyKos. Metafilter is for rigorous study of serious subjects approached without frivolity, dedicated to the greater glory of God.

When I was in high school we all sat around being cool by making fun people who were so lame as to actually you know...do stuff.

Now I feel like I am back in high school and this time without the lunch money. I am looking forward to my spare though.

what was it spock said? i see nothing offensive. what happened?
posted by punkbitch at 3:26 PM on March 24, 2006

punkbitch, spock copied-and-pasted the entire lengthy column of comments from that flickr page to here, taking up a mass of space. Then he MeTa'd the thread. That's all.
posted by Gator at 3:37 PM on March 24, 2006

What's signal and what's noise in a thread about a dog with a dyed mohawk?!! Fuck all. Me want the funny: all of it.

I don't think flickr users necessarily like every photo they see. I know if I see a photo I am not fond of I typically just move on, but if I see something I like, I comment on it. In other words, the amount of glowing comments doesn't accurately represent the percentage of people who actually like the photo.

Also, the firefox is adowable.
