Orangutwang is a simple Flash game about a stretchy monkey (sadly, the monkey does not play banjo). Don't touch the spiders!

This is great fun - although the spiders were too easily avoidable, at least on the first level. It would be good if they pounced if your arm came within range, for instance. Great game, though.

My god, an original idea. Very cool and very well done.

The name conjures up some disturbing pictures however.

I got to the 3rd level and then everything went to orangutan shit. Fun stuff!

This is the visual quivalent of how I feel when I rock climb. Having to S...T...R...E....T...C...H for that next hold.

Oops, I should correct myself in that in fact this is a game about a stretchy ape. Tea Games's Munchy Mole is also worth a look, it's like an odd combination of Tetris and Dig Dug.

This is great!

I take back my original comment about the spiders - my god it gets hard in subsequent levels...

It took me 3 gos to realise I could use the ape's feet as well!!!! Damn.

Lots and lots of fun. I could waste my day playing this. But it needs monkey screeching. And a jungle beat.

My brain is convinced that the name of this game includes the words gut wang. This is terrifying. No matter how many times I read it, the terror will not subside.

I'm not sure whether the game or the game's name is better. But it's close. Thanks for the link.

sadly, the monkey does not play banjo

Wait -- where does this thing about monkeys playing banjos come from?

I love TeaGames' Funky Truck series. Very simple, but much fun.

It's a universal archetype, found in cultures worldwide, and throughout history, strangely, pre-dating even the invention of the banjo.

Best flash game I've seen in a while - very original idea!

Spiders are nothin'. The level with a wasp at the very beginning killed me 3 times in a row before I could get anywhere.

At first I read that as Oranguwang. I'm not sure whether to be disappointed or relieved. Clever game, though.

Infuriating. I rarely have this much trouble with my mouse. The game didn't seem to give me proper feedback on what I was holding or how far I could pull it -- many times I stretched a paw right past a banana, yet nothing. Firefox 1.5.0.2, XP SP2.

Also, no music? Different, anyway.

Hate to be a killjoy, but y'all know real orangutans are endangered, right? Could go extinct in ten to twenty years...

Maybe for every hour's amusement we get from a game about orangutans, we could all send a buck or two to a group trying to keep them from going extinct -- oh, the Orangutan Conservancy even gets cash if you'll just send them your old cell phones.

How about we just give them coushy jobs in parliment?

Jokes aside, having been lucky enough to see them in the wild, I can understand this sentiment. Magnificent buggers they are.
