I guess she figures that in these United States if a person really wants to get somewhere there is a chance to accomplish it, and for those who don't really want to or can't, there are social services to keep them going, none of which is true for Eastern Congo, or most part of Africa.

You know, it's easy to bag on celebrities, but she does seem legitimately concerned with issues of justice in the developing world. I would like to think that if I came into loads of money, I would focus my concerns similarly, but I don't know....

It seems that she has taken her UNHCR goodwill ambassadorship seriously and grown with it.
