The sonic quality of the bootlegs is really very good.

Unfortunately, all the cuts appear to be from regular, rather bland bands. I didn't manage to finish listening to one of them.

I snagged some DCFC bootlegs, we'll see how they sound. Site's surprisingly fast at the moment.

They sound surprisingly good, actually.

Very nice. Audioblogs are quite possibly my absolute favourite use of the internets. My entries into the field:

Seeing an Andrew Bird track with My Morning Jacket is enough for me.

andrew bird is not a regular, rather bland band. especially not with MMJ backing him. he is, even if you don't necessarily like his music, undeniably singular and unlike pretty much anything else out there.

let's see, who else is on there? sonic youth? neutral milk hotel? not exactly regular, bland stuff. as a matter of fact, quite a few people would call those artists groundbreaking, envelope-pushing masters of their craft.

though i commend the insouciant indie-ness of your original comment (or two), you either didn't read far enough down the page or just don't know what you're listening to.

Neutral Milk Hotel doing "Song for Ché"? Now that is awesome. (I haven't listened yet so I hope it actually is awesome.)

Dobbs, Thanks, well worth it for the REM nostalgia alone. My ears are going to have a very nice time exploring some of these new sounds. I've got to get caught up with this Eno thing too. Ah, time is a wastin' . . .

There is so much to love in this page. I still haven't gotten past the neutral milk hotel.

there's a link from this page to a page with an amazing radio show of Cat Power... absolutely the best Cat Power I've heard.

Thanks dobbs.

Thanks for the link, it looks good.

I am getting pissed off with these Canadian collective types though. That fucker on the pink bike with his tie askew in the Broken Social Scene picture needs a shunkie. I much prefer David Byrne's technique of running off with the royalties leaving the rest of the Heads pissed than this faux collective we're all the same crap. SHOW ME YOUR FUCKIN EGOS!
