I couldn't get it to work in firefox but the downloaded .mp4 version played. Spoiler: it's a kitten swatting at a mac laptop. kind of cute.

everyone knows the perfect cat toy is a laser pointer. i am not a cat person, but if you give me a kitty and a laser pointer, both myself and the cat will be amused for hours.

Can't read the direct vimeo link (Safari), but I suspect that the video might be the same as was previously mentioned here (which, strangely, works for me).

Mr. Stickfigure's version worked for me.
We have 5 cats, four of whom are Maine Coon purebreds. Maine Coons are those big longhairs that breeders call "Gentle Giants". Velicoraptors with fur is a more accurate description. They don't just play with things, they work as a team. A swat team. A parrot expert who said one of her birds could hold off a household of cats heard we have MCs and said "You can never have birds. I've heard about those cats. They work as a S.W.A.T. team."
We spent $30 on a motor driven whirling mouse thing that was supposedly indestructible. I spent half an hour trying to figure out the odd instructions and assembling it, turned it on. All the coons and the half-breed kitten surrounded it as soon as I turned it on. So far so good, the cats are interested in it. In five minutes time, they bent the metal arm, stripped off the cloth tail, and burnt out the motor by hanging on the mouse with all their considerable muscle.
The laser pointer works great until the biggest ones start throwing their weight around while chasing the red light and bodies start flying, furniture and lamps are tipped over, etc. I like in a zoo.

SWAT team sounds about right. My former roommate had a Maine Coon who used to lie in ambush for hours waiting for her chance to pounce on my cat, who was about 1/3 her weight and half her intelligence.
Upon catching my cat, she would quickly force her to the ground and give her a vicious grooming... just to show her who's boss.
Oddly though, she had a phobia of laser pointers -- point one near her and she'd flee to the other end of the house and clean herself frantically for several minutes. My cat, on the other hand, will whine and beg for me to bring out the laser pointer on a daily basis.

My cat, of course, doesn't understand that the pointer makes the dot, but she figured out the correlation extremely fast. Whatever it is about those laser pointer dots, cats seemt to find them extremely stimulating to chase. And since the stimulus is so very strong, anything and eveything associated with it becomes part of condition almost immediately.
So if my cat even sees me holding the pointer, her eyes immediately dilate and she goes into high-alert mode. My pointer is a little combo mini flashlight thing with a pointer—it uses two buttons and the laser button is momentary. She can hear that distinctive quiet little "click" from far away, much farther than I would expect. Bam, she comes running and is on alert. I don't have anything which stimulates her nearly as much, with the possible exception of any CD/DVD trays mysteriously opening and closing.
