f5: Four-Second Fury (Friday Flash Fun)

I liked it better when it was called "WarioWare"... If you you ever wanted to play a WarioWare knockoff on your PC, now you can. Armor Games brings Four Second Fury to life, and they have several other games on their main site. Nifty.

Yeah, I just played this for a couple minutes and it doesn't have anywhere near the pull of WarioWare. When I first got that it stayed in my GBA for months (although that was in a large part because of the Dr. "Wario" game included. Theres a lot of charm and replay value in WarioWare that goes beyond the idea of microgames. For starters, the staggering amount of games it contains, the tracking of high scores and level progress, the the overall production values / feel of the game.

I'm still waiting for them to develop a WarioWare title completely full of multiplayer WiFi games for the DS. They can call it "Wario: Connected" or whatever. Can you imagine a group of 4-8 people whipping through 4 sec mini-games?

It'd be a blast.

Mr. Curmuddgeon: Big Brain Academy is pretty similar to what you're looking for. The games aren't as wacky or quick as Wario Ware, but they're still very fun and they work with up to 8 players on one cart.

neustile: I'm the exact opposite - Touched is one of the games I keep coming back to on the DS. I tend to use mine as a 5-minute time-killer though, so the style of play suits that. Advance Wars is also good for similar reasons.

But I also enjoyed this - thanks, andreaazure.

Wow. That was really not fun at all. I think it was how much time it took in each game to understand how to play it. It makes you realize just how expertly the games in WarioWare were designed - it takes just long enough to figure out the game and play it.

ddf: Yep. Worth it for that alone. :)

Welcome to the special hell that is mainstream progressive trance. It's this kind of unredeemable shit that makes people think that techno isn't actually music.
