cafepress for skate rats

BOARDPUSHER is basically Cafepress, but for skateboard decks. If you've always wanted to design your own deck, now is your chance.
Excellent. I wonder what quality level we're talking about here.

Well, they say they're real 7-ply canadian wood decks like every other deck you can buy at a shop but I have no idea what the paint/printing is like.
I just ordered one to see though.

I'm not remotely interested in skateboarding, but this is still pretty cool.

I didn't see any longboard decks. Boo.
Great idea, though.

I designed the graphics for a deck in the late 1980s. It was made by an offshoot of Madrid Skateboards. My friend Joe Bowers (now at Alien Workshop) came up with the name and shape (Ditch Bitch). I wish I had kept a model for myself.

This is a perfect wedding gift for my cousin, who's gone through so many decks he's repurposed them as bookshelves. Maybe could put a picture of his baby on it. Thanks for the link!

Matt, I was like you. I must have filled so many pages of my "awesome" deck designs, though I cringe to think what they looked like now, probably all variations of punk band album covers.
Can you remember to give us an update of what it looks like when it comes Matt?

And also, Matt, could you scan in some of your old designs? :)

Gator came to a bad end, actually. Homicide conviction. There's a documentary about it floating out there somewhere.

At what age is it inapropriate to still want to learn how to skate? When are you supposed to stop thinking skateboarding is cool? Because I'm not there yet.

Now I have no excuse not to pick it up.
Grandpa can do it and I can get a cheap board with a Jim Woodring or something on it.

Yeah, if memory serves, he had a really fucked up relationship with this one girl, eventually became zealously born again, and ended up (raping and?) killing his girlfriend's friend in one of those jealous-crime-of-passion things. Still in prison in CA.

Wouldn't let me upload my "nosferatu" picture. Bummer. I sued to ride my board to work everyday when I was a kid, but I don't skate much anymore. I'm over 260, tough to find a board for the beefier iron afficianado.
/I suppose I could switch to cardio...but I don't do salad.

If this was around when I was 15 years old, I would have spent every day making a new deck. As it was, I used to just sit and draw them all day.
