No Capes!

Project Rooftop! Rogue streamlined by Nuno Plati of Portugal. The Spectre re-imagined by Dean Trippe (creator of "Butterfly). Black Widow redrawn by Stuart Immonen (artist for Warren Ellis's Nextwave). Tracing its origin back to January's "Batgirl Meme," Project Rooftop is an excellent exercise in meta-fashion. Edna Mode would be so proud. Project Runway? What's that?

I'd buy issues of Alpha Flight with that look--very cool (haven't read it in years though).

And isn't Blue Beetle dead now? I thought he got his brains blown our or something.

You'd think that with super strength and invulnerability Ms. Marvel wouldn't need a giant chastity belt.

I like this. And I like the new Blue Beetle, but I've never read the old one, as I don't read many superhero comics. I'm interested to see where it goes.

I thought Ms. Marvel looked an awful lot like Nicole Kidman. Not that that is a bad thing.

I actually really miss the late-80s Rogue look (black bodystocking with various green accessories). Their ideas for Black Widow and Iron Man are ass-tastic, though...

Getting to know Ditko's Ted Kord is well worth your time.

Funny, I just stumbled across Boris Vallejo's versions of various superheroes.

Wow, these are really neat. Thanks, grabbingsand!

I love the Fire and Ice on there in particular, and the hi-tech version of the Ted Kord Beetle - it's a shame we never really got to see Ted go all-out with the crazy gadgets before DC cut him down in his (okay, slightly past his) prime.

As much as Stuart Immonen is completely and utterly my art-hero (and he is!), it's a bit of a shame his Black Widow is just Elsa Bloodstone in a different outfit. And without her shovel.

I don't get the Black Widow one: isn't that his exact rendering of Elsa Bloodstone?

Holy cats! Joel Carroll actually made the Falcon look like a real superhero!

Rogue looks great--so many superhero costumes really aren't practical at all--spandex chafes and binds--and doesn't breathe, and the capes must always get tangled, no? : >
