Nice rack boost chances for winning miss Universe

Beautiful women show us your boobs. Australian model Erin McNaught’s, now dubbed McNaughty, ”topless scandal” in the Australian magazine Zoo has boosted her chances for winning Miss Universe on Sunday. She is one of the bookmaker’s favorites together with Shakira’s cousin.

Whatever happened to inner beauty?

Since Miss Universe is owned by Donald Trump, who has two things on his mind, money and beautiful girls, his praise for her (after the “topless scandal” and media attention) has made her the favorite she is.

What will the future bring? Will we see a lot more topless scandals, home made porn movies and “worse” from now on to get mr. Trumps and media's attention? Time and Internet will show.

If you're going to bother posting an FPP, try to keep your opinion from running rampant over the little content you feel free to share. And chatfilter questions like "Whatever happened to inner beauty" shouldn't belong in the blue. And Erin McNaught's pretty damn hot, judging from the links you supplied. I hope she wins so we can see more of her.

Also, have you ever been to a beauty pageant? There are never, never devoid of sex or surface beauty or shallow popularity. Sure, sometimes talent plays a role, but expecting great things of Miss Universe or thinking a major part of the competition is about inner beauty is ridiculous.

The Miss Universe gallery looks like the competition for "Most Unnatural Photoretouching". Seriously... are there an actual women under all those blended pixels?

Frankly, I'm not a fan of so called beauty pageants, and to that end I have never watched one. Even without having ever seen one, I know enough (from having read many articles on them) to know that they are less about the important stuff (what's on the inside) than they are about flawless curves and hard bodies.

I think the future will bring more of the same. Topless scandals, home made porn movies, whatever... they're just modern day versions of using sticky tape to keep things perfectly in place. Any faux outrage about what the future will bring in light of what is obviously a media campaign designed to improve Erin's chances of winning overlooks this fundamental aspect of any multi-million dollar pageant. It's win at all costs. Don't worry about what the sexy piece of meat thinks. Just get her to show her T&A and claim it was all harmless and move on. Bah.

Oh, and four paras on the front page? What is this? An attempt to beat my sixth post? For shame!

I am shocked that the noble traditions of the beauty pageant have been sullied by such base immorality. It's not as if they have a swimsuit round, or as if the entire competition is based on ogling hot women, is it?

The "beauty pageant" is such a quaint concept. It's like a relic of 1950's usa, something for the Lawrence Welk crowd.

The underlying premise is women as decorative objects rather than people. Or maybe housewives to be chosen like merchandise. There's a token nod to evaluating the whole person, but if that aspect were taken seriously, the more appropriate prizes would be the existing awards for achievements - in science, literature, arts, etc.

On the other hand, if it were really going to be a contest of physical beauty, the clothing would have to go altogether. And they'd have to scrub off all that makeup. And body-modification would be a disqualification.

This is seeming like a good idea - a real beauty pageant. One for men too, why not? The prudes' heads would explode.

Fair skin is really that horrific huh?

Oh wait, it seems Sweden is exempt. Figures.

Oh, and seconding jam pony.

Inner/outer beauty debate aside, she's okay, but I really don't think she's the hottest girl in the entire universe. Can't we all just get together and come to a consensus? Here, this is how it would go.

"I'm pretty sure it's still Scarlett Johanssen, everybody."
(six billion nods)
"Okay, see you all next year!"

Inner beauty is crap. Anyone who tells you different is selling something.

Also, soul mates are crap too. Most people are loveable.

Lastly, I'm tired of girls telling me their friends are cute. Cute is bunnies and puppies. Tell us what we really want to know.

Can we have "Rant Fridays" instead of Flash Fridays? Flash is sooo like, Al Gore's Internet.

You seem to be unfamiliar with the concept of the rhetorical question.

jack_mo—shouldn’t that be: ‘You are familiar with the concept of the rhetorical question, are you not?’?

These pageants remind me of fancy versions of those livestock-judging contests at agricultural shows: ‘[“McNaughty”] is a bigger bodied heifer, being more expansive in her upper rib, and she gets progressively deeper from her fore-rib back. She not only spreads more natural width down her top and out of her hip, but she too is stouter featured, being wider chested and stepping down on a bigger foot. As a bonus, she tracks away with more stability to her hock. There is no question, [Shakira’s cousin] is more feminine. She is more refined about her head and neater fronted being cleaner through her brisket. She too appears to be more ideal in her body condition. Unfortunately, I left her second as she flattens to her upper rib and tracks in and close at her hocks as she moves away.’

Yes, because they don't have any sunlight at all in Ireland, Russia and Iceland....

D'oh!

You do realise that it's over 30°C in most of Europe right now, yeah?

I don't know about the Miss Universe competition but for Miss America, a lot of the girls are freaking smart (or are somehow getting into fantastic colleges and studying chemical engineering and physics based on looks alone)

It's actually overcast and 22 in Dublin right now. :)

Having said that, while Ireland HAS had a few heatwaves this summer, it's hardly the norm to see highly tanned Irish folk unless they:

a) Go and get fake tanned
b) Go to Spain

Bring back the lovely fair skinned ladies!

WTF is up with Miss Albania? She looks like a pornoized version of Angelina Jolie.
And Miss Canada has somethin' trannyesque goin' on.
Which I'd be totally cool with, if she was a tranny, but she isn't.
Is she?
