TED talks is a collection of presentations given at the most recent installment of the annual convention of leading technologists, entertainers, and designers (previously). From the $100 laptop to the eradication of smallpoxto new ways of visualizing data and a charming and humorous look at education, there's a lot to chew on and more to come. Inspired yet? here's some more reading material. via

The previous post on Hans Rosling pointed people towards the series, but I missed it the first time and the content has doubled since then. This was some of the coolest stuff I had seen online in a while, so I thought it warrented a new post.

Cool, I stumbled across these yesterday after reading a post on Creating Passionate Users. The Al Gore one is worth watching - it's mainly on his current Climate Crisis campaign.

Gar Reynolds' analysis of these talks at Presentation Zen is also well worth the read.

@rongorongo: cheers - I read Garr's site but must have missed that post. Nice one.

I wonder if the humorous take on education you meant to refer to was this one.

Even if not, it's well worth a watch/listen.
