That's fantastic. It's even funnier since I've done that quest.

That was quite well done.

My reaction was: what the fuck's wrong with these people?

You know, I was going to totally snark on this (game cliche + pop irony cliche + puppetry cliche = still lame), but then I noticed your Kelly Clarkson post, and now both me and my girlfriend want to do Kelly Clarkson. Together.

Whatever it is you're eating for breakfast, you should bottle it and put all those v!@gRa guys out of business.

At least it wasn't a link to the "Internet is for Porn" one. A WoW-crazed friend showed that one to me about a year ago and I've still not forgiven him.

We live in a weird time.

Yes we do. And it's really interesting.

This sent me to the Kelly Clarkson post, which I missed at the time, so it isn't all bad.

You people think that is cool, yet you scoff at pure pwnage?

What is the world coming too..

That's nothin'. Here's WoWeirdAl ("Hardware Store" song, which increases the non-sequiturity level even higher).

I wanted to hate this, because I am a grouchy old bastard who generally finds machinima and mashups and such tiresome... but dammit, this was funny! Very well done, and it almost makes me want to dive back into WoW after just over a year in MMORPG sobriety. Gosh I miss DAoC too...

I gotta go call my sponsor.

Jeebus, wendell, that thing is crazy!

I'm regularly astonished when I see some quirky thing like a machinima WoW-Billy Jean mashup and then I realize the thing is an example of a genre of mashups. There are thousands of these things, at least, maybe tens of thousands. And the same is true of other "weird" or "subcultural" or otherwise "alternative" media works: slash fanfic, zine journalism, hardware modding, vegetable fuel-makers, extreme sports . . . there may be hundreds of millions of people engaged in these "weird" activities now.

What does it all mean?

cgc: It means we're out of touch.

wendell....that, I like. Though I,m not sure I need to visit a store that stocks an automatic circumciser!

Chunking, that's 'Technologic' by Daft Punk, in case you were wondering.

Cool thanks. I had no idea where it was from. I take it he just added the vocals?
