So...it naturally formed a human head wearing a helmet?
Arabia Terra, eh? Hmmm....mighty suspicious name there.
But it’s stupid to think NASA would bomb the site, when they could easily fake it with computers.
I like Sagan’s eggplant = Nixon through human brain pattern recognition explaination.
But what if it IS a sign? I can’t take that chance. Looks like I’ll have to slaughter my firstborn.

Seriously tho - what if it was a face placed there by an alien civilization? It’s not like there’s any course of action we could/should take other than further exploration. And we’re doing that anyway. Doesn’t affect me going and getting coffee in the morning or having to shovel the driveway. Ah, wonderment - we’re not alone in the universe - great. Made any contact? Talked to anyone? They’re all dead huh. Just the face left. A sorta Martian Ozymandius. Ok, so...uh...slaughter the first born or just go on with my life then?

The face video ain't so amazing but I was taken by the simulated flyby of Olympus Mons' Eastern Escarpment. Olympus Mons being the biggest geological feature in the solar system (27 kms above the mean surface level - obligatory wiki link) I have no idea of the scales involved in that flyby - how big must those scree slopes be?! - but liked imagining. Thanks for this.
I'll be really excited however, when someone posts a link to 'Google Mars' - I've wanted to zoom around the Valles Marineris (uber uber version of the Grand Canyon) ever since I read about it.

That's pretty cool, but I was expecting an actual video taking from a satellite rather than a reconstruction from topographical mapping data.
