My 5yr old has declared he either wants to be a Mythbuster when he grows up or Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. He doesn't want to be on TV. He just thinks that what they do is so cool. Keep in mind that two years ago, he declared Norm from This Old House was his favorite. Norm now pales next to Jaime and Adam.

I love mythbusters. It's so much easier to learn stuff when the educators make the process FUN.

I have learned tons of science and math from mythbusters that I didn't pick up (when it was being crammed into my head from a book) in grade school, middle school, high school, or college just because the entire crew on mythbusters make it interesting, entertaining, and genuinely seem to have a good time with it.

Mythbusters makes science cool again and for that, I thank them. But I want more Adam and Jamie. Actually, I just want more Adam.

And I also love that they read their email and respond and, when they called to the mat for busting a myth that others have proven, they try it again. That's cool!

And they blow stuff up, alot!

My 5-year-old loves Mythbusters. ("I want to watch Mentos and Diet Coke again!") I shouldn't let him - I'll be sorry when the toilet explodes.

Everyone in our house loves Mythbusters. But I think that they should do the shows in the all-together, that's what I think.

What we need is more naked science. I mean, is one naked Jamie too much to ask from this cruel world? Is it?

I must say, if there’s any show which would be most likely to have an entertaining blooper reel, it’d be mythbusters.
Adam and Jamie are not Burt and Dom. They use explosives, and science, and explosives, and scuba gear.

If I'm going to carry a torch for any mythbuster it would be for the dearly departed Scottie. And it would be an oxy-acetylene torch at that. Surely I'm not the only one.

Was that clip ever on TV? I thought I've seen every extras, revisit, and blooper reel they've shown before but those were all new to me.

Or was it off a DVD extra or something?

Scottie's myspace page says she was "laid off". It seems like there's not much more to it than they didn't think she did a good enough job.

Some of that has been on TV. I've got hours of stuff that (unfortunately) won't ever see the light of day. I'm glad for the nice mefi reception, on slashdot they seem to trash me every chance they get (sniff, sniff).

The naked disclaimer was one of the first disclaimers we ever shot in early 2003. T'was my idea. We've done tons since then that won't see airtime, most often : "don't try this at home UNLESS you have your own tv show..."

I haven't been able to figure out how that specific blooper reel made it out. It's not one of mine.

Well, it was entertaining none the less, thanks. Gave me something (else) to smile about this fine morning. The Chinese have a similar program to Mythbusters, but really it is not nearly as good or fun. I do miss it so!

Popular Ethics, I'm pretty sure Kari sprayed him with Binaca or some-such similar breath spray and he was having a bit of fun.

Though if I am wrong and there is some kind of wonderful, orally administered sedative that can take someone down that quick with no ill effects, I have many pets, co-workers, friends and the occasionally recalcitrant wife who will be less than thrilled at my discovering it.

Funny story: no matter how obscure the myth that we're currently doing, the very day we're shooting the finale, I'll get an email saying that we should try opening a safe like they did in "The Score".

Happens enough to be creepy.
So you might have been the impetus, who knows?
