It's made less funny by Ryan engaging his critics rather than letting the work stand on its own.

What a fowl plan.

Yeah, and they're not even very critical. He's apologizing before anyone really got upset about it.

Whoa. I didn't know that chickens actually eat chick peas. I thought that it was a, y'know, false cognate or somethin'.

Anybody read this? "Chickens are carnivores and will feed on small children, and even large mammals like giraffes, if they can get them. Domestic chickens are capable of flying for long distances. Chickens will sometimes fly simply in order to explore their surroundings, but will especially fly in an attempt to attack when they are hungry." Sounds fishy to me.

I learn something every day: "Chickens are carnivores and will feed on small children, and even large mammals like giraffes, if they can get them. Chickens will sometimes fly simply in order to explore their surroundings, but will especially fly in an attempt to attack when they are hungry."

Neato.

Chickens are omnivorous, which includes being carnivorous. (Bugs = meat.) I suppose they might take a peck at a blue whale -- if they can get one.

Chickens are the new bears.

The first rule of dis'in chickens, is you don't talk about the chicken.

WON'T WIKIPEDIA GET MAD?

No, Wikipedia cannot get mad because despite what some Wikipedia editors claim, Wikipedia is not actually alive. No nation on Earth recognizes Wikipedia as life.

Good.

This is great. I read about it this morning on Dinosaur Comics and immediately went to the wiki/chickens page. Alas, I was too late, it had been closed already. Neat, though.

Not yet...

But what's all this about chicken being nature's tastiest bird? Tastier than the duck? The goose? The quail? The pheasant? The peacock? The ostrich? The emu?

I don't think so.
posted by PeterMcDermott at 4:19 PM on November 8, 2006

Well, it is tastier than pigeon. I assume.

Know what? I think Jodi Foster really is the world's #1 arch-villan.

Okay, arch-villain.

Oh, nevermind.

Darn, it was all changed to normal by the time I read it and a great article about chickens it is too.
"Chickens are carnivores and will feed on small children, and even large mammals like giraffes."
I have seen them catch and eat lizards and mice.

It's cool, Stavros...we're talking about feathered chickens, not Wonder Chickens. You're safe.

Curious as to why a moronic call to relentlessly vandalize a specific Wikipedia article is being regarded as some kind of clever performance art. A fair number of people on the discussion page for the Chicken article are complaining about a missing sense of humor on the part of the Wikipedia editors, but where's the humor to begin with? LAWLZ I POOPED ON WIKIPEDIA?

Good to know that when the main Chicken page was locked the stupidity just fled to the talk page.
---Someone is aski me to come up with a picture of a chicken's earlobe. Do chicken's have earlobe and if they do were would I look for a picture of one? Sorry if this question is not stupid and really necessary for future developments of human knowledge.-
