Roz Chast book covers, including her latest anthology, Theories of Everything. She picks five books you'd better hide from the kids. A vintage 1980’s Roz Chast interview.

drat, Googled and Yahoo Searched, couldn't find a front page post on her at MetaFilter and I think that particular interview is worth it. Roz Chast is such a marvellous cartoonist-writer, perhaps my "more inside" can be used as part of the FPP?

marvelous stuff, nickyskye - you have solved some of my remaining "what to get for x" dilemmas - thank you! After all, what's a better gift than laughter.

I hadn't seen the prior post so I am glad to see those New Yorker festival interviews surface for a second chance. Plus, I think you have added enough to this one to make it stand on its own two legs, imo. Nice afternoon break in a hectic season!

I have wondered what she looks like for such a long time, but she is so much more like I imagined than I ever could have imagined.

I have wondered what she looks like for such a long time

I never really thought about this, but she looks to me exactly like someone drawn by Edward Koren. And she seems like a very nice, funny person in real life as well as in print. (I was surprised to find that, despite her having been in The New Yorker for almost 30 years now, I'm older than she is.)

Thanks for the post. The video was a pleasant way to avoid work I should be doing.

jamjam and lelilo I too wondered what she looked like and was amused to see she really looks like her cartoons.
