Israel 'Godwins' Herself. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the following after the UN General Assembly approved a resoltion condemning the denial of the holocaust (regarding Iran's "Haterpalooza 2006"):
"We will not allow the world to once again sink into indifference, heedlessness and silence, thereby giving moral approval to speak in such terms about the existence of the Jewish people," Olmert told members of his cabinet on Sunday, without mentioning Iran by name.
Aside from diplomatic tactics, reminders of our previous (and current) "entanglements", the intrusion of another nations priorities into our political process, and commentary of those of a similar sympathetic ideology, how else could Ehud, Israeli hardliners, the Likkud, and their international supporters influence our stances on fighting Israel's wars by proxy? Also, to preempt the critics, at what point does throwing the anti-semite card become the equivalent of calls for slavery reparations?

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to get at in this post.

to preempt the critics, at what point does throwing the anti-semite card become the equivalent of calls for slavery reparations?

What? Please explain.

Hm, and at what point does asking skewed, leading questions become axe grinding?

At what point do numerous leading questions make a FPP lousy?

Not to nitpick, but I wouldn't exactly call that a Godwin.

"Everything looks like a hammer when you're a nail."
I could be mistaken, but are you calling them paranoid?
When the president of Iran has specifically mentioned wiping Israel off the map, I think their concern becomes a tad more valid than mere paranoia.

at what point does throwing the anti-semite card become the equivalent of calls for slavery reparations?
Ahamdinejad has gone to little expos where the topic of debate was whether or not the holocaust happened. I'd say referring to as Ahamdinejad as an antisemite isn't too far fetched, here.

Hows your axe doing?

On Preview: Damn, Astro Zombie beat me to it. :P

Please, oh, please, tell me this isn't AxeGrindFilter...

::checks the links::

Yeah, it's AxeGrindFilter.

Look, it's obvious that militant Zionism (a political movement which, I might add, has nothing more to do with Judaism than suicide bombers have to do with Islam or blowing up abortion clinics has to do with Christianity) has a creepy amount of influence among the neocons, but this is neither best of the web nor news.

If someone can prove me wrong, of course, I'll be glad to retract and apologize.

We've clearly already passed that point Astro Zombie.

This post is a mess.

Israel didn't "Godwin" herself, nor does the link say that. It is a slanted characterization. The PM made a comment at the UN when they were debating a resolution about Holocaust denial.

But somehow we go from that to some "we are too pro-Israel" links, including slanted characterizations of them. The most idiotic of all is trying to link Plamegate to this post in the "nts" link.

Then some leading, argumentative questions.

What a mess.

what jokeefe said.

(And I must admit, I'm becoming more and more friendly towards the concept of slavery reparations.)
