whenever i see a double i think i'm having an acid flashback. but then everyone else calls it what it really is and i remember that i've never done acid.

Problem is - you can't be sure. The major side-effect of taking acid is to create amnesia about taking the acid - in other words, you are not really "remembering" that you've never done acid, you're hallucinating the memory of remembering you're never done acid. Which, I think, proves that you've done acid, probably more times than you could ever hope to remember. In fact, there's a good chance you're on acid right now.

I'm beginning to suspect that the reason that double posts get deleted is not that doubles are inherently bad, it's that the first ten commments are snarky variations on "Didn't I see this before?"
