The Montana Senate just abolished the death penalty! No link yet, since it passed just minutes ago. But, Hooray!

Well, now murderers can rot in a prison supported by tax dollars for their entire lives. Sounds fair enough to me.

If this was a huge deal, no-link NewsFilter would be fine. Like, say, the 9/11 thread was. But since Montana has only executed three people since 1976, I have to say this isn't a huge breaking news item. Nice, yes. Deserving of this? No.
