Stupid Beaver Canadian snipers in Afghanistan after September 11th made the longest recorded kills in history with this weapon. On a March afternoon in 2002, Cpl. Furlong of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) squinted through the scope of his McMillan TAC-50 and successfully killed an enemy combatant from 2,430 m.

There's slightly more text--you just have to scroll past some of the insanely many google ads on the page to find it. Though, it's not so much worth the effort.

A guy named "Furlong" gets the distance record? And a military unit named "Princess"? I'm calling BS on all of Canadia if this is true.
