Which means that the producers just went and made it up, expecting people to believe deliberate lies.

I kind of understand when they make up political stuff, because they have strong reasons for doing so, and perhaps they're even lying to themselves, but something like this makes me believe that they, Fox News, are consciously lying a lot of the time and that they sit there and plan the best way to get their lies across.

Actually, you're probably right. They thrive on people hating them and I have personal experience of this. I was approached by a Fox News team in Buffalo a couple of years ago, looking for man-on-the-street political reaction for someone of my racial background. Of course, my political views didn't fit the profile they wanted. They actually became quite aggressive when I wouldn't spin things the way they demanded. One of the camera crew raised a fist to me, it all got out of hand and my mom got scared, she said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air". I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "FRESH" and it had a dice in the mirror. If anything I would say that this cab was rare but I thought "Nah, forget it, yo Holmes, to Bel Air". I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo Holmes, smell you later". Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel Air.

When I hear stuff like that I become more and more convinced that I've fallen into the Illuminatus! trilogy and am now a character in the books.

Baudrillard makes more and more sense everyday.

Fungible, that is completely unfair, man. I have gone MONTHS without thinking about that stupid Game. I DIDN'T think about The Game when I WROTE those words, and here you go blatantly mentioning The Game which makes me think about The Game. I honestly don't care that you lost. Why'd you have to tell me?

That's cheating. You just cheated at The Game. You big meanie beanie.

DelMoi, I don't give the time of day to actual foxes in the wild or in the zoo because of The Network That Shall Not Be Named. I don't care if it's a local affiliate or a station that used to be but isn't anymore or whut. The Network That Shall Not Be Named is like, evil! ...and stuff!

Firefly was the last straw for me. Actually that and Tru Calling was a one-two punch that told me The Network That Shall Not Be Named doesn't care what I like to watch, so I don't care what it broadcasts.

It doesn't care about you. So stop caring about it. Or. Y'know. Don't. Just don't come cryin' to me when The Network That Shall Not Be Named breaks your heart.

I don't find this funny, but terribly disturbing, that supposed "journalists" can have a part in this stuff -- isn't Fox the most watched "news" channel in America?

How do we have any hope of surviving?

I think this thread is done enough to derail, so I have to say that what he did was not at all cheating. When you lose The Game, it's fair to announce it, even if in writing this I just lost The Game and so did all of you. In fact, I think that's the closest one can come to winning.

I'm glad the Roving Lesbian Gangs menace is finally being addressed. I've been gravely concerned about the lesbian gang threat since this startling 1979 documentary. (Although according to the documentary, lesbians, like Nazis, are terrible shots.)

The only way to win is not to play. =P However, apparently once you know, you can't not play; I'd prefer Mornington Crescent but nobody will play with me. *sniff*

Nothing was done to address the Hells Grannies biker gangs that stormed England in the early 70s, or the baby snatchers... despite Eric Idle's startling 1969 documentary.

LOLWUT? So that’s the other end of the bell curve I’ve been hearing about. I mean I’m pretty damn clueless and I’ve caught most of this in passing. Jeezuz, someone give Fox news one free internet.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
