Charged with assault on way to anger management class.

Today's lesson in anger management: No fighting. The Saint Paul Pioneer Press has this front-page story about a 27-year-old guy who hit a 59-year-old woman at a bus stop. Apparently she didn't "show him some respect," so he hit her with his class notebook. He was waiting for the bus to take him to the anger management class required of him after two domestic assault convictions. Before running away when his first victim pulled out her cell to call the cops, he hit a 63-year-old man who came to the woman's defense, dropping the class folder with his name inside.

Uh, it's trying to make me sign in. And this story doesn't quite seem worth registering for. What exactly are we supposed to discuss here?

Umm...don't leave any identifying info when assaulting people?

This link worked for letting me in without registering. YMMV.

And yeah, seems typical "stupid criminal" fare with a light side of irony.

I dunno, man, shit's starting to go downhill around here. Hey, this might make the front page in St. Paul and all, but, this is MetaFilter, y'know?

Wow. That is amazing.

I wonder if anyone has ever shown up to court for their DWI and had alcohol on their breath. I wonder if anyone has ever shown up for court for their drug charge with drugs in their system. Those would really be fascinating stories. Maybe someone has even driven over the speed limit to get to or from court for their speeding ticket case?

I simply can't believe that a person who would commit a crime would ever exhibit the same type of criminal behavior again.

Before passing judgement, I'd have to hear his side of the altercation.
