I'm deaf to your complaints, Henry.

As a Massachusetts (one of, if not the only, state in which Geico is not licensed to sell insurance, but in which it runs advertisements anyway) resident I always saw Geico as the Red Lobster of insurance companies. Ads eveywhere, but there's never a restaurant anywhere near you.

BTW, the Gecko & Cavemen links have hover-over descriptions.

Before the shitstorm begins, I would like to say that I am partial to the Warren Wallace commercials, and enjoy their Wes Anderson-like feel. Also, I was just commenting to someone the other day about how Geico management deserves credit for repeatedly taking chances on new wacky commercials, when most companies in the same position would never have moved beyond the Gecko commercials.

yhbc: yes, it's the only state. I worked there when the big thing was opening up into New Jersey to sell insurance. It'll probably never happen in Massachusetts.

Occasionally they would test out the new ad spots on the employees. For every great or funny commercial you see, there were at least four REALLY SHITTY commercials that never aired to make up for.

I've always wanted to try Red Lobster.

This is getting ridiculous. I don't care who you are or what this post is about. Do you care who you are, or what this is about?

when i opened this i found a geico banner ad. the commercials are pervasive enough, but now we've got a damn caveman tv show looming as well. then i wake up to metafilter having a ton of geico crap? thanks for pissing me off at the start of my day. these commercials air every ten seconds or something, how in the hell are they even remotely mefi material? flagged.

If everyone hates this so much, then the mods should go ahead and delete it.

I thought it was interesting to see all the commercials together like this... I certainly wasn't looking to ruin anyone's day.

If the YouTube servers go down does Poolio cease to exist?

Poolio do by any chance happen to work for Geico? or own Geico stocks?

i wants a reason for having so much Geico maliciously yet cutely etched into my memory after watching all those vids you posted.

Not to get all "would I need to own a TV" on your ass, but seriously. A compendium of TV commercials with no theme other than the company they promote?

The music in the Geico caveman Airport commercial is "Remind Me" from a 2002 CD release "Melody A.M." by the Norwegian band Royskopp. This earworm brought to you by . . .

Was it Geico that had the football players talking about feeling not so fresh down there, and that two fingers of the patented oily balm could fix it? Or was that energizer?

And who had that commercial where a family sits down to breakfast and the mascot hops down from the cereal box, at which point the family sensibly flees in terror?

Tiny House would have made a much better show than the caveman sitcom.

I would watch people live a house that's just too small. It'd be like the anti-House of Leaves.

I like this post, but then I like Geico, and one of the few things I hate about my new home state of Massachusetts is that there's no Geico here.

BRING ON THE GECKOS!
