Internal sabotage, or 'WTF' goes corporate?

Double-ewe, Tee Eff ? I was looking for images on a certain stock photography site today. Frustrated with what they were giving my, I put in "WTF" and actually got pictures. Weird ones.
Is this because someone there is being funny, or is it a marketing ploy, or what? When did WTF get to be acceptable?
A cursory search for 'WTF' on other stock sites didn't net much, so I tried it on Microsoft, HP and Apple. No luck.
But then there's Wereworlf, the Forsaken, and the World Taekwondo Federation and Working Title Films and even a conservation group.
WTF: Is it over? Is this oversight?

This post was deleted for the following reason: A doubled-up link to the front page of a stock photo site with instructions to search on a keyword: not really front page stuff, ImJustRick. -- cortex
I'm not sure if this is a good post, but those are indeed some WTF pictures Corbis has going on.

Am I missing something? Both links in the post go to the exact same page:

Given your username, for a second there I thought my fiance might have joined the site and totally bombed on his first post. A cursory check of your profile made me feel vastly relieved.

I tried "LOL" and got a bunch of pictures of the civil war in Sierra Leone, and I was all, "WTF?", then I realized that there is a city in Sierra Leone called Lungi-Lol, so now it's cool.
