That's some rule, that Rule-22

The Democrats have a loathsome habit of rolling on their backs like runt puppies whenever the Republicans decide to filibuster lite. Why can't they stand on their hind legs and make those fools do a self- satirizing filibuster for a discredited and unpopular cause, like the Dixiecrat 83 day marathon against the 1964 civil rights bill?

You're right.

Unfortunately, you'll need to get your own blog to put this there.

Lack of compromise (for Democrats only!) makes Cokie Roberts' head explode. Which would arguably be a good thing in the long run, but...

No guts. I think both parties are trying to lose the next election, so the other one will have to clean up our mess in Iraq.

I don't know, maybe because they actually runt puppies? Well they are certainly fucking pussies. It's really quite sad.

Every time they (predictably) do this shit, I'm always proud to have abandoned the fucking Democratic party years ago. I am honestly unclear -- really, truly unclear -- how it is possible for so many people to walk upright whilst wholly lacking in spines. (And yet, when we progressives/lefties actually dare to vote for non-Dem candidates and parties who more closely represent our interests and values, we're the ones inevitably cast as the betrayers of principle. To which I can only say: bite me, Pelosi.)
