Is Guitar Hero too tame for you? Too mainstream? Try Accordian Hero!

This post was deleted for the following reason: I'm deleting this pretty much double to protest the continued delays of Banjo Hero. -- cortex

Nachtmusik:

The first of its kind in Karaoke Survival Horror! Trapped in a haunted opera house, you must sing as if your life depended on it...because it does. Hit all the right notes to get weapon upgrades, from the Tarnhelm to the mighty Tannhauwitzer. Battle ghostly valkyrie, horribly mutated swans, and rapidly decomposing zombie composers by performing selections from the great German operas.

Great link: just keeps on giving!

I LOL'ed at "Grand Theft Ottoman": "May not be entertaining to those under 35".

n00b question - is this real? Cuz, regardless of my grumpy protestations about the GH genre a few days ago, wow I want this. It looks real. But it's on the internet. Real? Or no? Dang matrix...

Darn I really wanted this to exist.
I assume it's parody, no "buy" link...

Previously. Accordion Hero II is new (and actually hilarious with the two bellows), but despite our fervent wanting of realness, this is not real. Harmonix actually put a 'Coming in 2008: Accordion Hero!' Loading card in Guitar Hero II if I recall correctly, although that may have just been in the E3 build.

That was a very cruel joke. I had a chance to spend a day with the E3 build and Elena Siegman, GHII Producer, at the Sandbox Symposium in 2006. One of the most interesting things I learned that day went like this:

Harmonix made Amplitude and Frequency because there was believed to be no market for games that required rhythm peripherals at the time.

Amplitude and Frequency sold Mouse Nuts despite their incontestable awesomeness.

Harmonix pulled off the unthinkable with Guitar Hero, achieving huge success despite a higher price tag, a bigger box, and waning rock relevancy.

Harmonix would love to do a modern sequel to Amplitude / Frequency.

Unfortunately, publishers now believe there is no market for rhythym games that don't require expensive peripherals.

Victims of their own success!

Also, this post should be deleted.
