Hostages, Clinton

Hm, thought provoking.

Sorry, I don't post often and not really sure what I'm doing but thought it was important enough to post.

But thanks for being an arse about it. :)

Since it's a white freeper, we can't call it terrorism.

> 'A man has just walked into the Clinton office, opened his coat and showed us a bomb strapped to his chest with duct tape.'

I remember when we used duct tape to fight terrorism. It's been turned against us, just like Lite Brites and bottled water.

Beat me to it, 2sheets. I was just wondering how loudly Fox News would be screaming "TERRA!" if this was a Republican candidate's campaign office.

Thanks for putting no effort into a FPP and showing us what's on every TV right now.

It's just a confused Ron Paul fan outraged over Paul's lack of screen time in the democratic debates.

I'm sure there's lots of cheap jokes to be made here; I'll think I'll wait until after this is over and (hopefully) safe.

Thanks for this; I don't have a TV in my office.

Oh, I've heard this one before...

...So the right-wing nutjob walks into a Clinton campaign office with a bomb strapped to his chest, says to the secretary: "Don't worry, I'm not going to detonate this bomb, but shortly your brain will be exploding when I show you my GOP membership card and remind you that irony died on 9/11."

Let's not jump to conclusions. It could be another student art project.

I hope no one gets hurt, and I also hope this guys turns out to be clinically mentally ill.

Because if he isn't actually crazy, then I begin to wonder. The last time a democrat was in office, a right-wing thug set off a bomb in Atlanta during the Olympics, and another blew up the federal building in OK city.

That does not auger well for peace and tranquility during a Hillary presidency.

And this is terrorism, just like the things I listed above.

Here's a suggestion: all of you with blogs who are going to blog this story, how about coming up with a common description (once we know more about him), such as "Republican Terrorist." (Assuming he is a republican).

Hostages, Clinton.

I keep looking at that and it's completely defamiliarized now. I've been saying it and laughing since it was posted (I hope that no-one is hurt, of course) and in different tones.

hostages, clinton. HOSTAGES, clinton! hosstajezz, Clin-Tin!
hostages cleentonn!

Dunno. Shklovsky would have a thing or two to say.

The question remains, though: Which candidate would crack down equally hard on both terrorism and student art projects? My heart says Giuliani but my gut says Romney.

I find it hard to be glib during an event like this.

But, then, the quality of our glibness is not defined by the excellence it demonstrates when it is easy to be glib, but, rather, by its grim-faced soldiering on at times of crises.

Excelsior, my glib brothers in arms. Excelsior!

I wonder if this will change the way political campaign offices are managed. Politicians want and need to be accessible to the public while campaigning but that represents a security risk as just anyone can walk right in. Given that politics by nature attracts those with strong opinions, you run a risk that those walk-ins might be someone like this guy. So, do you put guards and metal detectors at every candidate's office in every town in the country? We'll see, won't we?

In the absence of any evidence, it's irresponsible to suggest any motivation or ideology on the part of the bomber. He could just as easily be a former staffer with undiagnosed schizophrenia, the estranged husband of a staffer or any of a dozen other things than an unbalanced right-wing extremist. We just don't know who he is & why he's doing it. Until we do, it's best to save your speculation.

Just in case you're wondering what those fine Christians over at Free Republic are saying, I'll save you some time:

wonder what nutjob they paid to pull this stunt.... like all the people who they get to hang nooses to make people think conservatives are radical haters

Just another diversion or to seek attention and sympathy.

Probably a man masquerading as a pissed off Republican. Upon further investigation, it will be found out the person is really a Hillary plant, trying to make Republicans look bad.

My first thoughts: it’s staged, designed to draw attention in N.H. Maybe Hillary even has to rush there dramatically and resolve the situation.

Religion of Peace?

Team Clinton will stage anything to change the story from CNN’s ‘debategate’....

Blame it on Bush.

The first of many Clinton-Sympathy stories. Hundreds if not thousands or millions to follow.

Notice the huge Hillary banner on all major news stations:)

POPCORN...POPCORN...GET YOUR POPCORN HERE.....

It’s setup to get the sympathy vote. Ticks don’t fart unless it’s choreographed by clinton first.
