This post was deleted for the following reason: If you're going to just link to a store front, it's probably a good idea to tell people what's so awesome about it that's making you put it on the front page. -- cortex

Ur, Lover's... sorry.

This is an online site for a used book store.

Yup. That is pretty much what it is.

This place might also be called a book-lover's paradise.

Did you perhaps mean to link to this? (The first line and hangman games on the right hand side are actually kind of neat. Not sure it's going to save this post, though.)

Does anyone want directions to my nearby Borders? It's the original store in Ann Arbor and sort of neat......

Yes, yes—that’s exactly what I was meaning to do *looks wearily*

What's the matter with linking to a used and rare book site? is it anit-guideline to for teh FPP to point to commercial sites? Some of us love our used and/or rare books a lot.

Seems like it. Pirated content, however, is roundly applauded.

BTW I kinda like this post because the website design is unusual and they have 1000s of books in a 3D format. I'm not a regular of used book online sites so perhaps this is the norm but thought it an interesting design.

That first line game is fun and frustrating in equal measures. I keep jumping the gun, trying to get a high point score, and then realizing if I'd waited another couple of seconds I'd have gotten it right.

And I'm among them. But think about it: what would MeFi look like if we all linked our favorite stores?

Troubadour Books in North Hatfield is my favorite place to buy used books!

Which it is. But you get my point.

No, no--I wasn't trying to link to "my favourite book site", I just thought that this particular site was rather cool.

I think it needed more than just a bare link.

I thank you for this post. Two items now on order!

I like the site, too. Beyond commercialism, it's different and fun, and kind of old-skool. I think it should stay based on the strength of its HTML. or whatever it's made out of. Didn't look at the source.

I for one pass on used books unless they are presented to me as video games from the late 80's, early 90's.
