Did anyone not know about Jodie Foster?

*Ahem*

She's gay.

Stupid CNN, breaking that sexy glass closet.

(Okay, this comment was just an excuse to show that great Out cover again.)

Old and busted: Jodie Foster. New hotness: Queen Latifah.

First Jodie Foster, next Anderson Cooper?

Yay. Now she should inspire some chick to shoot the president.

I liked it when she said "we're a very long to fart".

I fervently pray for the day when this sort of thing doesn't matter. I really hate that it does.

No wonder I always thought she was so gorgeous and dreamy...

*ahem*

Regardless, this is not an appropriate front page post.

Well, I actually thought she was celibate or something. In fact, foster (it sound's like) didn't say that she was a lesbian per se just that this other woman played an important roll in her life. Oprah also has a female friend who plays an important roll in her life as well, but is straight.

I also personally knew a girl who was very 'asexual' (or so she claimed) but you would have thought she was a lesbian, from her haircut and how much time she spent with her "roomate".

I think there are some women who are just not very sexual, and end up in the 'lesbian' box because they end up 'partnering' with women like them.

I think about this a lot and I think that the only way it will never matter is if humans somehow stop being interested in having sex.

So I think that the best that we can hope for is humans finally just getting to the "unless I'm interested in intimacy and/or a relationship with this person, it doesn't matter and it's none of my damn business" - or barring that, I hope that the worst we'll settle for is "OMG ARE THEY IN THE AVAILABLE POOL OF HUMANS THAT I'D LIKE TO MAKE OUT WITH THAT WOULD ALSO MAKE OUT WITH ME!1!?!" which wouldn't be all that bad, comparatively speaking.

No wonder she wasn't turned on when that crazy guy flung his hot sperm on her from a jail cell. It all makes sense now!

mushroom mushroom mushroom mushroom JODIE FOSTER JODIE FOSTER

I once saw Jodie Foster punch through a cow just because it was blocking her view of her life partner.

Yeah, I kinda have to agree with miss lynster. This is entirely a case of "so what?"

Let me tell you something. The only people who care about this are the womens magazines. The ones that obsess over make up, clothes, and what Angelina Jolie is wearing and eating. The magazines who are staffed by vacuous 35 to 40 year old women who haven't realised that gossiping is something only teenage girls do at high school and who haven't realised that high school is, in fact, over for them.

"Oh my god, did you see what [celebrity of the moment] was wearing?" "OH. MY. GOD. Did you see who [celebrity of the moment] is dating?" "OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. [celebrity of the moment] IS GAY!!! FRONT PAGE FUCKING NEWS!"

Seriously people, this is a waste of paper, brain power and, in the case of this post, time and front page Metafilter real-estate. So someone famous is gay. Big deal.

Let me give you a goddamn hint. Instead of imitating what Paris Hilton is wearing... instead of gossiping about what Britney is doing... instead of reading trash sites like this, check out this website. That's the kind of stuff we really should be caring about, people.

Hmm... No.

I don't care about human rights abuses any more than I care about what Paris Hilton is wearing. You're free to try to convince me tha I ought to feel otherwise, and I promise to keep an open mind, but I really doubt there's a compelling argument you can make.

Well obviously I think you should care, but I'm not going to try to convince you to do so. I guess the simple fact that you don't care what Paris is wearing or what kind of genitals Jodie Foster is fucking is enough for me.

Equal opportunity apathy; I can dig it.

I'll leave now.

How about we tie you to a board, lay you down at 45° poor water on your face? I bet that "argument" could "compel" you just about any which way.

Can we talk bout the fact that her life partner/close-but-nonsexual-friend/etc. spells her name Cydney? Eeek.

There are only two sexual orientations, those that will fuck me and those that won't.

All other details are superfluous, though sometimes delightfully salacious.
