The Best Entertainment-Related Gifts

After receiving a Dalek cookie jar for her birthday, an EW blogger asks, "Have you ever gotten an entertainment-related gift that blew your gourd but left your friends kinda baffled? Or how about the worst pop culture gift you've ever received?" Oh, if only someone would get me an authentic Willy Wonka Golden Ticket!

This post was deleted for the following reason: An skimpy EW blog entry and a product page for a novelty wonka ticket? There doesn't seem to really be a post here. -- cortex

Don't feel bad when they delete this. It's just that we're Metafilter, not the Entertainment Weekly blog, so as such we have real standards to uphold.

My son has one of the chrome masks that the immortals wore in "300"... My plan is to steal one from him the next time I'm in LA..... And since he didn't just offer it to me out of gratitude, I may also steal the sword as well

The worst pop culture gift I got was this post. It's even late for Hanukkah.

My oldest sister once gave me a used Alf handpuppet for Christmas. Had a chef's hat and everything. And slobber from her dog. I was 23. I kept it in the kitchen, it stared helplessly at people from inside the toaster oven when the oven wasn't in use.
My sister sucks at gift giving.

The printer in me is intensely curious about that Golden Ticket.
