oh, thanks Gyan. the other post has lots of good information. this one kind of had me scratching my head. sorry hortense but at first I thought this was some kind of advertisement.

I thought you'd be talking about Project Gutenberg, which stacks up to 20,000+ texts, (Over 100,000 if you include its partners.)
Your site apparently is targeted towards academic works, though.
