Did John McCain cover up his complicity with his North Vietnamese captors?

John McCain: Candidate. War hero. Collaborator? According to Counterpunch, "John McCain’s been getting kid-glove treatment from the press for years..." despite "years of collaboration in his prison camp." Is this his Swift Boat, or will this canard be ignored like his involvement in the Savings & Loan scandal?

This post was deleted for the following reason: I'm sure there are good ways to look into what's up with McCain but one Counterpunch link is really not a great way to do politicsfilter here. -- jessamyn

I would feel better about believing this if it didn't have anything to do with Counterpunch in general and Alexander Cockburn in particular.
